A successful production team, part of a leading agricultural company, currently requires two Junior Production Officers to join them.

One position is available in the Winteron/ Greytown area of KwaZulu-Natal and one in Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape.

The position will focus on ensuring that quality seed produced by grower’s complies with physical and genetic standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Recruiting and contracting growers ;
• Managing relationships with new and existing growers ;
• Quality control ;
• Conducting regular crop inspections ;
• Processing and controlling stock of parent seed ; and
• Compiling relevant documentation and information pertaining to production.

Minimum requirements:

• A Btech or BSc Agric degree.
• A minimum of three years experience with focus on vegetable production. Seed experience is preferred.
• Fluency in both English and Afrikaans.
• Dynamic attitude and self-motivation. • Strong negotiating and communiction skills.
• Enjoy dealing with people.
• Self-discipline and the ability to work independently.
